We had a bit of an adventure and chose to camp instead of staying in a hotel. We stayed in a rustic cabin and a tent. we had no running water on our site and we only had 1 plug for electricity.
A wonderful time was had by all. We enjoyed being amongst the trees and water and wildlife (we had skunks, raccoons, moose and deer wandering around our site)
Our time in the woods was nice, it was a great time to unplug and reconnect with my children. we laughed and played as a family, we ate every meal together. We stayed up late and ate junk food. it really was a wonderful trip.
after being away from my reality for that long, I began to miss my little routine. I missed paying the bills and getting groceries, I missed washing the floor and making the beds. now for those of you who know me well, you will know that this is shocking! I have never missed any of those things in my life! In fact I usually dread them.
So being away from them seems to have given me a new perspective on the little tasks in my life.
I have being doing lots of those chores since we arrived home (the laundry pile has a base camp, since climbing it is a gargantuan feat!)
The difference is I have returned to my little life with a new view. I am thankful for these chores, these tasks, yes even for the bills to pay.
I am doing all my little things with great love!!
I am blessed!
